Dental Bridges in Jupiter, FL

If you’re missing one or more adjacent teeth, a dental bridge can be an excellent option to restore your oral health and smile. At Jupiter Dentistry, we use E.Max® composite crowns: they’re strong, durable, and long-lasting while providing an aesthetic that looks remarkably natural and authentic.

We place traditional and implant-supported dental bridges like the Prettau® bridge used for the Teeth Next Day® procedure. Both are suitable investments, and the preferred one depends on the unique characteristics of your oral health.

The best option for you can only be accurately determined during an in-person consultation. Dr. Ajmo holds a mastership from the prestigious Misch Institute and is a diplomate of the ICOI. Give us a call, schedule your consultation, and see why Jupiter patients trust Dr. David and Dr. Ajmo with their smiles.

Types of Dental Bridges

  • Traditional Dental Bridge

The traditional dental bridge is made of two major components, the dental crown and two abutments that attach to adjacent teeth. You can replace a single missing tooth in this way or even a row of two or three teeth. This option can be more inexpensive than others without the long-term longevity of the dental implant.

  • Cantilever Bridge

A more specialized bridge, the traditional bridge has one abutment because there’s only one eligible tooth on one or the other side of the replacement tooth. Cantilever bridges can be used for aesthetic reasons or if you have other prosthetic teeth.

  • Maryland Bridge

Much less common than other dental bridges, the Maryland bridge comprises a metal frame with the front half of a dental prosthetic bonded to the frame. The wings of the frame are then bonded to the back of the two adjacent teeth. This type of bridge is not often used.

  • Implant-Supported Bridge

This involves using a dental implant to hold a dental bridge, which can be partial or full-arch. Implants integrate with the jawbone, giving them the strength of a natural tooth root for remarkable longevity. At Jupiter Dentistry, we use a Prettau® implant-supported bridge for patients who need to replace a full arch of teeth. The results are aesthetically excellent, and the procedure can take as little as two days.

How Can a Dental Bridge Help Me?

By replacing missing or extracted teeth, a dental bridge can aesthetically restore and enhance your appearance. Jupiter Dentistry uses E.Max® crowns, which look stunningly natural thanks to the composite material they’re sculpted with.

Customizable by size, shape, and color, our crowns are artistically designed for the individual features of your smile. We encourage you to ask us for photos of the results other patients have achieved.

The benefits of dental bridges go beyond the aesthetic, as well.

They can help restore the ability to chew and speak properly. Bridges also maintain the shape of your face. They can prevent drifting and crooked teeth and help reduce wear on other teeth by evenly distributing the forces in your bite.

How Dental Bridges Are Placed

Your visit to our office will be a consultation, where we present with you recommended treatment plans. If you decide a dental bridge is right for you, the next visit will consist of preparing the abutment teeth, which will prepare you for the permanent bridge placement.

The third visit will see the placement of the bridge, which will be adjusted if it’s properly fitted in place. After a couple of weeks, we’ll bond the bridge in place, and you can enjoy your new, rejuvenated smile.

Am I a Candidate?

There are different options for replacing missing teeth, and we will discuss these procedures during our consultation. The type of bridge placed depends on the unique features of your oral anatomy. We will always recommend what would be the best solution given your needs and the results you want.

We encourage you to schedule your consultation, explore your candidacy, and see which procedure is right for you.
